1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognise you on subsequent visits and remember your preferences.

2. Types of cookies used

Strictly necessary cookies

Essential for the platform to function. They cannot be disabled, as without them the core services (authentication, session) would not work.

  • Authentication session (JWT token)
  • Language preferences
  • Form state (to prevent data loss)

Functional cookies

Enhance the user experience by remembering preferences (dark/light mode, preferred layout, etc.). They can be disabled, but some features will be limited.

Analytical cookies

Help us understand how the platform is used (pages visited, session duration, traffic source) in order to improve it. The tool is Google Analytics 4, described in section 3.

They load only after you accept them in the preferences panel, and consent can be withdrawn at any time from the same panel. If you refuse, the platform works exactly the same — no analytical cookie is written.

Marketing cookies

We use none. We show no advertising, build no advertising audiences and share no data with ad networks. Google's advertising signals — ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization — are sent marked as denied on every request, whatever you choose in the preferences panel. That is why the panel offers no marketing category: there would be nothing for it to switch on.

3. Third-party cookies

The platform may use third-party services that place their own cookies:

  • Google Analytics 4 — traffic measurement, started only with your consent. It writes the _ga and _ga_ cookies (the latter followed by an identifier), lasting up to 2 years, which tell your browser a number rather than who you are. Controller: Google Ireland Limited; data may be processed outside the European Union under the standard contractual clauses, and is retained for 14 months (Google's policy: policies.google.com/privacy)
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics — counts pages opened without writing anything to your browser and without building a device fingerprint. That is exactly why it still works when you refuse analytical cookies: it has nothing to ask you for
  • Google Maps — for map and location functionality (Google's policy: policies.google.com/privacy)
  • Payment processors — for secure transactions

When consent is withdrawn we immediately send Google the denial signal, delete the _ga cookies we can find, and on the next page the script does not load at all.

4. Cookie duration

  • Session cookies: automatically deleted when you close your browser
  • Persistent cookies: remain on your device for a set period (typically 30 days to 1 year)

5. Managing cookies

You can control and manage cookies in several ways:

  • Cookie preferences panel on our platform (available at first visit and accessible at any time from the footer)
  • Browser settings — you can block or delete cookies directly from your browser
