About the design
On white paper the age stands large in Bodoni, cut from linen-textured gold leaf, between two watercolour eucalyptus sprays that frame it from behind. As it opens the number is at first only pressed into the paper: a sheet of gold leaf comes down, the hot plate presses it, the foil peels off at a corner and leaves the number gilded, and the branches grow. “Coming-of-age party” is written in the thin Ms Madi hand; the invitation line, the name and the place are in spaced Cormorant Garamond capitals. The portrait sits under an arch of gold thread.

Which events it suits
It is drawn for a coming of age, yet the age is the organizer's own field: the same foil says 18, 30 or 50 at a birthday, and the line “join me to celebrate 30 years” words itself to match. Every guest who replies yes gets a place card with their name written by hand. Powder pink and Sage change the paper and the ink; the gold and the leaves stay.
