Does somebody have to run check-in all evening?
No. Most people tick in waves, at the door, during the first hours. The list stays there and can be completed at any time.
What about guests who come without confirming?
You add them as they arrive, so they enter the count and appear in the final record.
Does it work with poor signal in the venue?
It needs a connection to save, like any web page. If the signal is weak in the room it is worth checking beforehand — the same as for card payments.
No card until you publish
