Fern Shadow
About the design
The technique is Victorian spatter-work: ferns laid as stencils on emerald paper, sprayed with gold from a brush, then lifted. On opening the ferns fall round the arch, the gold comes in three passes, the ferns lift one by one and the ivory sheet comes off the photograph. The same gesture returns on every section: the date and place, the countdown, the letter on an ivory sheet, the day with a sprayed coin for each moment, the medal with your initials. The palettes bring midnight, ivory, burgundy or onyx.

Which events it suits
It is made for an elegant evening wedding, where deep green and gold read like a gala invitation. For a civil ceremony the ivory palette gives a sober, bright morning, and for an anniversary the gold spatter suits a golden or silver wedding, with a fern print for every guest who says yes.
