Two Poppies
About the design
On white paper two red poppies and a bud stand on long, hairy stems above the names, set in widely spaced Cormorant capitals. On opening the stems draw up from the ground, the buds rise and the poppies unfold petal by petal, and now and then a petal drifts down the page. Then the date and place split by a line, a countdown dotted with poppy seeds, the letter, a poppy for every moment of the day and a strip of meadow growing at the end. The palettes change the poppies: coral, wine or mauve.

Which events it suits
It is made for a summer wedding and a civil ceremony, where the white page and the hour-by-hour programme sit well beside a few photographs. For an anniversary, with one name or both, the red poppies and the meadow at the end say the same thing: a summer day we celebrate together, with our friends close by.
