About the design
The whole page is a summer sky painted with a palette knife, from deep blue at the top to haze at the foot. As it opens, clouds come in from the edges, swallows cross over the names and the gold letters, in EB Garamond, rise one by one. Then the wide photograph, the day and the place either side of a gold rule, the countdown on a cloud, a weather vane with a rooster over the programme. At the end the farm rises layer by layer as the hens walk into the yard.
