About the design
The first photo sits in a disc, circled by a slowly turning gold ring that carries the names, the date and the place. As it opens, the dark disc of the eclipse slides off it and at first contact the rim lights up as the diamond ring. The rest of the page follows the moon: the phases with your night's real one lit, a countdown of four growing moons, two round photos that meet as you scroll, an album laid out as a constellation. Thin Jost, EB Garamond and Cormorant italic on a desert sky; Silver, Amber, Indigo change it.

Which events it suits
For an evening wedding it is a simple metaphor: two lights that meet and a ring that lights up in the sky. For a birthday or a coming of age the guest of honour's portrait becomes the moon of their night, their name on the ring, with the same phases and countdown. Without photos the eclipse uncovers a full moon of gold, and the page stays whole.
