About the design
The cat narrates and the page defers to her. Cormorant Garamond italic is her speaking voice; the headings stay Fraunces, the text Karla, the captions Caveat. Objects sit on the page instead of being drawn into it: atelier paper, hairline borders, layered shadows, plum and bell brass. The entrance is hers — she shoves the card off the table and introduces herself in three lines. Date and schedule open only once you scratch her chin: her back barely counts, her belly loses it all. The gallery hangs from a thread unwound by a ball of yarn; at the end, she sleeps.
Which events it suits
Couples with a cat pick it for the wedding, where the narrator's flat delivery cuts the solemnity without ruining the day: “Coming? I could not care less.” “(come.)”. Her name is editable, like everything else she says, so she need not stay Cleo. An anniversary works just as well, since the animal who witnessed all of it has earned the right to comment.
